EL MONTE — San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments, in association with ActiveSGV, announced a new effort Thursday, Sept. 29, that will allow residents to get a monthly subscription for electric-assist bicycles. The funds will come from a $4.5 million greenhouse gas-reduction grant from the California Transportation Commission. GoSGV, a regional bike share program, launches on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Jeff Seymour Family Center in El Monte. The bikes are for rent on a monthly basis through a California Transportation Commission greenhouse gas reduction grant.
