On Monday, the City Council will consider taking a position on HR 3681, the San Gabriel Mountains Protection Act, which expands the area covered by the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument Designation. In 2014, Former Pasadena resident, and President Barack Obama designated 346,177 acres of federal lands as the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument, including areas within the Angeles National Forest and the San Bernardino National Forest.
