St. Francis cross country runner Sam Franco is the Southern California News Group's High School Boys Athlete of the Week for Sept. 18-24 after he received 72.97% of the vote at the deadline Thursday. San Clemente's Aiden Rubin (football) finished second with 21.62% of the vote, and Bellflower's Marvin Williams (football) finished third (2.7%).
