Mater Dei volleyball player Julia Kakkis is the Southern California News Group's High School Girls Athlete of the Week for Sept. 18-24 after she received 67.21% of the vote at the deadline Thursday. Long Beach Wilson's Chloe Pravednikov (volleyball) finished second with 11.48% of the vote, and Royal's Emily Ford (volleyball) finished third (9.84%).
